Lovely 1986 Metzke Pewter Anchor Hocking Glass Trinket/Potpourri Holder + Extra Rim Dec.
This lovely Trinket/Potpourri Holder by Metzke comes with the original Metzke pewter ornate top, the lovely Anchor Hocking Glass bottom and an extra metal ornate piece. The Metzke top has a detailed trumpet flower design with a humming bird on the edge and the extra metal piece is a detailed ring of a vine of roses. You can use one or the other of the rings to top the glass base or layer the two.
The pewter top is stamped Metzke 1986, and the glass base has the Anchor Hocking mark.
Designs by Metzke, Inc., was an U.S.A. Company, founded in 1963 that became one of the world’s largest pewter companies. In 1997 the company had to close due to foreign competition.
Anchor Hocking is an U.S.A. Company, through a merger of companies that collaborately have a history back to 1863 to present day.
It measures approximately 4 ½” in diameter at widest point and 2 7/8” at the mouth and 2 3/4" in height.
