    Description

7.75 inches high, 6.5 inches wide. The removable servant light has been lost, you can see the holder for it on the upper right hand side, below the third cut out decoration. However, what is remarkably still present is the original pewter pail to catch the oil drippings. Another example of this very menorah (same design, same maker, all the touchmarks are identical), is located in the collection of The Jewish Museum of New York. While the museum example has the servant light, they do not have the pail. Shown in the last photo is a similarly designed pewter menorah (cut out heart decoration, spout at bottom), that appeared at Sotheby's with a ,000 - ,000 estimate (Sotheby's buyers premium is 25%). That menorah states "circa 1800" because the touchmark was not identifiable.
