    This is a replica of a George the Second Sterling Silver mug.
    It is a type popularly presented as a TROPHY TANKARDS by HEADS of famous Colleges to winners of College Athletic events. The phase started in the Victoria Regina period continuing until the end of the 19th Century• The story on the GLASS BOTTOM is that it allowed one to see if about to be attacked whilst drinking in the Tap Room of one of the less reputable Taverns or Inns, not uncommon in the
    "good old days".
