BULK BARBER BOTTLE-Newbro's Herpicide-Quart-Aqua-Label-Embossed-1890s
Offered is a selection consisting of one authentic Bulk Barber Hair Tonic bottle, dating between 1890 and 1900.The bottle is Hand Blown In Mold manufacture style(BIM),with cork top finish. The lot includes:
1)—A 9”tall, 4" diameter, aqua, round hand blown bulk barber bottle,appears to be a quart size or bigger,embossed in large letters on one side "Newbro's / Herpicide / Kills The / Dandruff Germ". Other side contains a 90% original blue and white label, reading in part "Newbro's Herpicide / A New Scientific Nonirritant Germicide And Prophylactic / Eradicates Dandruff,Stops Falling Hair,And Prevents Baldness By Destroying The Germ Or Microbe That Infests The Scalp". The label also gives explicit directions for use. There is about a half inch of hardened original content residue in bottom of bottle.
I've handled a lot of smaller size Newbro's bottles in the past, always have been popular due to the odd embossed phrase, have never seen this large size, much less with the original label!
Excellent overall condition, some age fading on label, as well as some missing sections, no damage.
