Description
Royal bottle of the 19th century “A. CIY and Co. Moscow”.ORIGINAL.In the middle of the 19th century, a young Frenchman, Adolf CIY, came to Moscow - he got a job under a contract for one of the perfume industries. In 1855, CIY accumulated enough money to open his own business - a small pastry shop. Things quickly went uphill - after a few years, cakes, cookies, chocolate and cakes from CIY and Co. ate in the best Moscow coffee houses and cafes. By that time, CIY's contract was over, and the capital that appeared allowed him to open his dream business - perfumery. Perfumes were produced under the same "confectionery" brand "CIY and Co."
Unlike most competitors, CIY focused on the production of luxury perfumes. At the same time, a girl even with modest means could afford his aromas - the principle of his commercial activity was: "High quality - low price." More budget perfumes differed from elite ones not in quality but in cost of packaging: the same aroma was corked either in a bottle of hammered silver or in a modest bottle of glass. In addition, he relied not on sweet and suffocating aromas, but on the production of light and cold compositions. Such perfumes were chosen by elegant women with a delicate taste.
